I'm a vegan runner who really likes to travel and eat. I do not like it when mean dogs bite me while I'm running. My life is (mostly) beautiful.

I’M BACK

I suck at living a full life *and* blogging. I’ve been busy, have changed up my diet (vegan to a week long juice cleanse to raw vegan to about 90% raw vegan).

I’ve been enjoying the sun, drinking lots of smoothies, playing soccer, cycling, running. I ran 16km yesterday. I have so much to thank my legs for :)

I’m moving across the country in 3 weeks! Then moving back to the west 2 months later because I found a really special guy. Not just because of him. Not even because of him. I’ve been offered a great job opportunity. The guy (who happens to live in the city I’m moving to for work) is just a huge bonus, though I’m just as excited about him as the job.

He is pretty much perfect. He is an incredible athlete (competes internationally and scores lots of -closer to home- firsts!), intelligent, a kind & thoughtful person, successful, funny, and he is smoking hot! I sometimes stop and wonder why he is so into me, but I guess I’m pretty cool too :)

I liked him (a lot) right away. He told me that he’s been trying to not fall for me (because of the distance) but he couldn’t help himself. We’ve been taking things slow, which is good, but this is the first time I’ve felt like I’m truly over my Australian ex.

I’m so happy and healthy and looking forward to finishing my job in 3 weeks, moving to the coast (hello beaches), quality family time, enjoying real nature (so long city), and then coming back to start something fresh and exciting in a brand new city with an incredible guy. Where did he even come from?!

We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of mine and give our order. While we’re aproaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter: ‘Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended’ They pay for their order, take the two and leave. I ask my friend: “What are those ‘suspended’ coffees?” My friend: “Wait for it and you will see.” Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers - three for them and four ‘suspended’. While I still wonder what’s the deal with those ‘suspended’ coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square infront of the café. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in throught the door and kindly asks ‘Do you have a suspended coffee ?’ It’s simple - people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm bevarage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwitch or a whole meal. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have such cafés or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support ? If you own a business why don’t you offer it to your clients… I am sure many of them will like it.

I just saw this and thought it would be incredible to share this so maybe it  could catch on wherever you may live

Well now I’m crying, this is great.

Lovely  idea!

good to know

Transitioning to raw veganism plus I’m a runner and I already look young for my age….commence looking 12 the rest of my life hahaha (but really I got asked if I was in 8th grade when I was 17)

I like this. Also, at 20, a friend tried to set me up with his 15yr old brother! Ha!
